The fabric we chose is an Asian print that includes flowering branches and flowers on the fans. These flowers appear to be stylized plum blossoms due to the branch form and 5 petals shown on most blossoms. 5 petal flowers are indicative of good luck in China. The flowering plum, in particular, has been a powerful Chinese symbol for over a millennium. Its ability to blossom amid ice and snow has made it a symbol of new beginnings, virtue, and fortitude. May your life share all of these qualities.

Our prayer is for many mornings and afternoons of taking tea and savories. May they, at times, be spent in solitary communion with the Lord, and other times be opportunities to pursue love and fellowship, practice hospitality, show courtesy and serve others.

The last word means "far", but the deeper meaning is that you will surpass what you can currently see or understand.
